PARISH COUNCIL MEETING, MONDAY 2nd DECEMBER 2013

3.      MINUTES OF THE LAST PARISH COUNCIL MEETING

To approve minutes of the Parish Council meeting held on the 21st October 2013

4.      SUSPENSION OF MEETING FOR PUBLIC QUESTION TIME

The meeting will be suspended to allow members of the public to speak to the Council. No decisions can be made by the Council during PQT. After this period the meeting will be resumed.

5.      CORRESPONDENCE 

To formally declare any correspondence received by the Council from the General Public

6.      PLANNING

To notify members of decisions on any outstanding application and responses to communications regarding planning applications.

 

7.      ITEMS FOR CONSIDERATION

7.1.   Christmas tree – ordering/payment and confirmation of erection date (Saturday 7th December at 11.00?). Agree size (20 feet?) and price (last year was £130.00)

7.2.   Time of carols around the tree and confirmation of local musical accompaniment and placement of carol sheet on the website for people to print out. Advertise date and time on the website.

7.3.    Agree spend for mulled wine and mince pies to the pub for Carols on the Green (last year was £100)

7.4.    Times for illumination of Christmas tree lights (last year was 6am– 9am then 3pm–11pm)

7.5.   Christmas Tree Electrical supply. Parts and temporary supply cable (Cllrs Cockcroft and Howell to advise)

7.6.   Updates on chicanes near the playground.

7.7.   Allotment update.  Plot 5 available to let for next growing season

7.8.   Top and bottom sections of allotment plots outside rabbit fence.

7.9.   Ongoing management of un-let plots.

7.10.     Update on grit bins 

7.11.     Dates for next years’ meetings approved.

7.12.     BYPA Update, including Youth Worker Recruitment

7.13.     Parish Clerk vacancy update. Feedback on interview/s held.    

7.14.     Any outstanding issues with blocked drains?

7.15.     Potential matched funding opportunities for additional item of play equipment on the Parish Field

7.16.     Potential removal of trees from the grounds of the Red Lion

7.17.     Update on repairs to entrance of Downsmead.

7.18.     Further consideration of concrete table tennis table behind BYPA Hall.

7.19.     Further quotes for servicing of church clock.

7.20.     Vote of thanks to Baydon Fireworks Committee.

  

8.      FINANCE 

8.1.    Approve payments:-

8.1.2.   Thames Water?

8.1.3.   Pittams grass cutting? 

8.1.4.   Payment made for gazebo/shelter.  Original amount agreed £104.97 the final cost being £129.95.
