Baydon village is found on the old Roman Road of Ermin Street, as the road joins Newbury in Berkshire to Swindon in Wiltshire. Nearby villages to Baydon include Aldbourne, Lambourn, and Ramsbury with Marlborough being some nine miles away. There is a limited public bus service from the bus stop at the entrance to Aldbourne Road (near the Red Lion pub), and you can obtain the latest timetables from the village shop. The Ramsbury Flyer - a 14 seater Community Bus that serves the local area, including for getting to and from Ramsbury Surgery. The bus is also bookable for group outings.
